News and guides about honey
Clear, useful explanations about honey varieties, storage, crystallisation and the rhythm of the beekeeping season.
Why does honey crystallise?
Crystallisation is a natural phenomenon. It does not mean that the honey is spoiled or of lower quality. The rate is mainly influenced by the composition of each variety, temperature and storage conditions.
To restore a more liquid texture, warm the jar slowly in a lukewarm water bath. Avoid high heat and the microwave.
How best to enjoy and store honey
Three essentials that help preserve the flavour and choose the right variety.
Dry, dark and tightly sealed
Store honey at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
- always seal the jar tightly
- use a clean, dry spoon
- do not store it near strong odours
From delicate to distinctive
For a mild flavour, choose acacia honey. Wildflower and linden honey offer more floral freshness, while forest, chestnut and silver fir honey have a fuller character.
Ivy honey is a speciality for lovers of more intense aromas and a creamy texture.
More than just an addition to tea
Honey can be paired with yoghurt, cereals, fruit, nuts and cheese, or used to prepare dressings.
Its varied aromas let you choose a different character for every dish.
Our selection follows the season and harvest
The availability of each honey variety changes from year to year. Weather, flowering and natural conditions affect the forage, so not every variety can be guaranteed at all times.
